This beautiful candy stacks is a delightful temptation; or is it? This work explores the mismatch of appearance and experience. As a kid I loved the appearance of these beauties, but the taste wasn’t for me.

Did you know that eating licorice can cause a heart arrhythmia- apparently you’d have to eat about 2 ounces per day for about 2 weeks to see this effect (see FDA article). Gives this painting a hint of danger- so exciting- hee hee!
